Our relationship with Sports Jungle Media Group began in late 2007. Founder Brad Brawner approached Cube 6 Development owner Anthony Gallo to run a full audit on their systems because he had a feeling that his original setup for his company would not be capable of handling the anticipated growth. Mr. Brawner also wanted us to begin an online marketing campaign for SportsJungle.com. After successfully auditing all of their processes we found many areas we could drastically improve on. Below are some of the most concerning areas we found:
- * no scheduled backups
- * lacked sufficient hardware
- * website wasn’t found by search engines
Cube 6 Development proposed moving data centers and rebuilding from the ground up. Their new network sat on a 100mbit pipe using some of the most sophisticated hardware on the market today. A Cisco ASA 5505 Firewall was installed because of its highly functional capabilities with its built in Cisco Virtual Private Networking and Intrusion Protection Detection systems. For the web front end we dedicated two Dell blade servers for hosting the web files. The choice to go with two servers was essential to reduce downtime in the event of a hardware failure. We also clustered 2 SQL servers for on-the-fly database redundancy.
